FOOD THAT MAKES US HAPPY

In our daily diet there are some ingredients that we can consume more frequently in order to enhance good feelings. Our body then rewards us with hormones of happiness thanks to which we can do everything more easily.

Nuts

Nuts themselves are a rich source of serotonin, a hormone which creates the feeling of happiness and relaxation. According to some studies about 30g of nuts, almonds and hazelnuts will provide us with enough serotonin for the day. The benefits are immeasurable, and you can always do this on the go.

Coffee

Coffee has the ability to lift the levels of transmission of dopamine and serotonin, only 30 minutes after intake. It’s proven that women that consume 2 to 3 coffees per day stand 15% less chances of suffering from depression. Coffee that is consumed in the morning is related to additional energy, afternoon with socializing, but it is generally something that brings with it a certain ritual that means relaxation and pleasure.

Dark chocolate

The darker – the better! Thanks to its chemical composition it arouses in us a feeling of euphoria that is very similar to that when we are in love. Because of the amount of antioxidants, dark chocolate relaxes the walls of our blood vessels, lowers blood pressure and improves circulation. Consuming a little under 30g of dark chocolate within two weeks that reduce the level of stress hormones. Dark chocolate also contains magnesium that helps with PMS symptoms, including bloating and depression.

Mushrooms

Mushrooms are rich with selenium that is also listed as an antioxidant, and plays an important role in defense from depression and anxiety. They are the only natural source of vitamin D that is rarely found in a pure form. Shitake, a special type of mushroom, are meaty, sweet and can influence the mood thanks to their high levels of selenium and magnesium.

Spinach

Iron helps provide energy, it brings oxygen into your cells which enables you to be alert and ready to easily do everything that comes to your mind. Add to that food which is rich in vitamin C, such as oranges (in a salad with spinach) and you will increase the speed at which iron is absorbed.
