Why you should drink a lot of water?
We often hear recommendations that you should drink a lot of water, as well as that water is the healthiest drink. Do you really know how important it is to consume it on a daily basis?
Water is extremely important for our body as a whole, and as you probably already know, the recommended daily fluid intake is 2.5 litres, which is about 8 glasses. If you drink less than this, you can put yourself in a situation where you feel very tired and exhausted. To avoid that feeling, it is better to drink a glass of water in the morning, preferably lukewarm, than a cup of coffee.
Starting the day with a glass of water is one of the main recommendations, and these are just some of the reasons why you should do it:
- You will have more strength and less fatigue – fatigue is one of the signs that you are not drinking enough fluids and that you are dehydrated.
- Your hair and skin look shinier – sufficient hydration of the body will affect the shiny appearance of the hair. Your skin will become smooth, and wrinkles will not be so noticeable.
- Improved focus and better mood – water affects the transmission of impulses so the brain and nervous system can work properly. With sufficient fluid intake, you will have better focus and stay awake longer. Since lack of fluids affects dehydration and energy, just one glass of water can improve your mood!
Start drinking more water and over time you will notice how much more fulfilled your day is, that you have more energy and that you are in a better mood than usual. It will also influence weight loss, which is very important for those who have problems with excess weight.
